and GRACE is Moving on UP...

Not to the East side, lol, but to a 55+ community, WOO HOO...No longer is she in an assisted living facility, she has her own 1 bedroom apartment, with a full kitchen. The new address, effective immediately (she moved in this weekend) is,

Grace Adelini, 5701 Virginia Parkway #1205, Mckinney, TX 75071.

Her phone has not been turned on yet, not sure if they are letting her keep the same number, stay tuned! If you need to get in touch with mom before Tuesday, call me or Dawne, we are both less then 1 mile from mom.

Got lots going on, will post later this week...If you would like to check out the complex, go to http://www.chateauseniorliving.com/

Winter WonderLand in Dallas...What?

Ok, I know for all the "northern" folks, this is not a big deal, but for us down here in Dallas, it is! Folks here "panic", while driving when it rains, so I was not looking forward to my drive in today...Luckily, so many schools were closed, that folks stayed home and traffic was fabulous! Now, the drive home, probably not so much! We are suppose to get 4 - 6 inches today and it has been snowing since bout 5:30am, and not predicted to stop til around midnight, fun all around! The high today is like 35ish, so no ice, awesome, BUT the low tonight is 24 and tomorrow high is 28, that equals ice and probablly NO WORK, woo hoo!

Since most of us in Dallas are originally from up north, this should be easy peezy, not so much, I

think we all forget that, lol! Here are some photos...first 2 are views from my house and the last 1 is from almost downtown Dallas, where I work.

Happy Bday Mom....

We celebrated mom's 71st bday on Sunday @ Dawn'es house. Mom requested meatloaf (yuck), mashed potatoes (i left the skins on, lol) w/gravy, green bean casserole, cheesy garlic biscuits (recipe on your bisquick box) for dinner.

Mom's cake of choice...Lemon w/lemon frosting (double yuck) and ice cream. The only saving grace to the dessert was that Jeff sent mom a jar of Sanders hot fudge, YAY Jeff, you rock! Drizzle (or plop big spoon full) over the ice cream, yummy! Mom had fun, here are a few pics:

Amy (Joshua's girlfriend, who is expecting a baby on Feb. 25)
& Angela (Dawne's Chinese foreign exchange student)

and here is Doug, Sans & Dawne fixin up the Sanders Hot Fudge, yum, yum!

God Bless Us Everyone...

I must admit that I wasn't looking forward to sitting through a 3 hour play, BUT, to all (Doug, Sans, Mom, Joshua & Amy) of our surprises, this adaption of A Christmas Carol was 65 minutes, start to finish!!!!! I thought they did a great job, awesome...We then had to stop and get ice cream, even though the temperature was 30 outside, who doesn't want ice cream? So, what did mom order?
Enjoy the pics :)

A Christmas Carol...

We are off to the theatre (say with an English accent, sounds better) tonight to watch a local performance of the play. It is cold today, like 40...I know for most of you reading this, that's a heat wave, but brrrrrr. I will try and snap a few pics and post this weekend.

I will honour Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me. I will not shut out the lessons that they teach. Oh, tell me I may sponge away the writing on this stone!"
