Word of the Day, GraDuaTiON!

YAY, Blake is a high school graduate! I can't even believe it, wow, time has flown. He graduated from a Christian school, so it was a quaint and intimate graduation, 17 kiddos. Blake is Dawne's oldest child. He's a great kid. His future plans are off to college, University of North Texas, to join ROTC and ultimately be a pilot in the Air Force. Aim High! Here are some pixs we took. Now you might be noticing that mom is wearing the same outfit when we "dress" her up and take her out of Baybrooke, that is correct. When we took her shopping, she loved this skirt, and we didn't realize that she had so much on her social calendar, so we didn't get more than 1 matching shirt, oh well! Mom had a great time. She is proud of Blake, like we all are! Hey, did ya notice the cane? Probably wasn't a good idea, but she tried her best, she's just not there YET!

Mom has been off the Keppra for more than a month and the Dilantine, almost 3 weeks and guess what? No signs of seizures, YAY! The neurologist is convinced that the stroke "triggered" the seizures, so no worries about those! Have a great night. I might go sneak mom out and go see the midnight showing of Sex & The City! Ciao

Mother's Day, yep it's a late post!

Mom had a great Mother's Day. After church I took her to Dawne's house and we had a great dinner, love Thanksgiving in May! Mom had an awesome time and got some great presents, much deserved! Here are a few pixs from that day. The handsome man escorting mom to dinner is my sweetie, Doug! And the young lady on the bottom left is Dawne's daughter Monica, not Joanna (30 years ago)...I know, right! ENJOY!

Just a Reminder...

Mom's phone number is 972-439-1092, she would love to talk to you! It may ring & ring or you might get a busy signal, if so, try again! Mom's address is Baybrooke Village, Attn: Grace Adelini, 8300 Eldorado Pkwy, Mckinney TX 75070. Hearing from you would brighten her day!

Another drive by post...

Got the results back from mom's PET Scan and it was...NEGATIVE! Praise God the Cancer is not back! Doug and I told her the good news on Friday evening, by Saturday she had already forgotten, so Dawne shared the good news with her again. After brushing her teeth before church on Sunday I asked mom if she rememberd the good news Dawne shared with her Saturday and she struggled to recall, so I finally shared it with her again! The Cancer may not be back, but the beginning stages of Dementia are apparent. Now that all the other medical issues have been dealt with, Dawne, Doug & I have been looking at assisted living homes in our area. The goal is to have mom out of the Skilled Nursing Facility by June 5 or so. Keep you posted on what direction we go in.

Sweet Dreams!
