Ugh...Ugh...Ugh

Okay, so I go to mom's to setup the answering machine.

First, a little history...

Dawne was taking mom to buy a phone and mom's only requests were that the phone was cordless and had an answering machine. So off to Walmart they go...pick up the phone and wait for installation day. Install goes well, sorta, but that's another day...I take phone out of box, kinda small, but with all the new technology, lol, it's possible. Hook phone up, yay, we have a dial tone (this is on Tues). I go back Thur eve to setup answering machine. I'm reading the manual, hate those by the way, think I might be a guy, lol, and I DON'T see instructions for "answering machine" what I do see is a box that says, "if you have subscribed to a voice mail service, put in your access code and set up your mailbox" HUH? Bottom line, there is no answering machine, UGH! and mom of course threw the box away on Tues eve, yay! So, at this point she doesn't want to spend the $ to buy a new phone, sorry! Maybe we should have a contest to see who gets the most rings before she answers, lol!

Hello...Can you hear me now?

It's official, mom has a phone, YAY! Her number is 214-548-4169. The answering machine is NOT set up yet, so phone should ring a bazillion times! We are going to set up the computer this weekend, so will send out a mass email with her new email address.

OPERATOR? HELLO? ARE YOU THERE?

Quick update...Mom is doing great, but her Jitterbug celli is not :( It seems it gets hot and who wants a warm celli in their hand or on their face? So, we are in the process of installing a landline. If you absolutely, 100% have to get a hold of mom, please call either Dawne 469-569-1819 or Sans 469-767-1017. The plan is to have phone up and running by weeks end, but we all know how that works!
