WheRe In ThE wORld iS GraCe?

Wow. It's been a busy few weeks. Mom has been upgraded, lol, and moved into her new HOME. Mom is now in an assisted living facility in Mckinney, TX, just 1.8 miles from Dawne and me. Mom looked at 2 facilities and chose the one she's in because in her words, "I like being so close to you girls." The other facility was just as good, but a 20 minute drive from either of our houses. And yes, Dawne and I live like 2 miles from each other, so mom really is "in between" our 2 homes. Mom's new home, and it is her new home (she won't be moving back to Florida or Michigan, she's a Texan y'all), is a one bedroom apartment, with a patio. She has PT, OT & Speech Therapy come to her apartment several times during the week. The only assistance she receives from the facility, at this time, is monitoring of her medications, and as we all know, that is needed! No more over medicated Gracee! Mom also has a psychologist come to her place once a week. She seems to be open to the counseling because she realizes she's had many changes, all needed, but none the less change. Soooo this therapy is great for her to vent, chat, whatever she needs to do to help cope with all the emotions that she is feeling. Oh yeah, and best of all, the food ROCKS. Maybe not best of all, but it sure is high on the list! I will post pictures this weekend. Sweet dreams!
